Irrespective of the operating system, photo loss can take place from computers. Like Windows or Linux computers, Mac operating system is equally prone to data loss. One of the most general ways of losing data from computers is through human mistakes.  You may lose photos when you unintentionally delete files, format or delete a volume or partition.
