Dealing with Mac Photo loss issues

Photo loss on Mac PCs is in no way completely different from photo loss on Windows. This is mainly because, the storage medium used in both the instances, is the same and that includes memory cards, USB drives, hard drives etc. Not only is photo loss similar, but the same holds good for photo recovery too. This again is obvious, since digital photo recovery needs to be done on the same devices, no matter what the operating system. The only thing that can be called as a noticeable difference is the cause of photo loss in both the operating systems.

Some of the common reasons for loss of photos which are similar in both the operating systems include loss of photos from the memory card, either due to formatting of the memory card, or due to memory card software corruption. In such cases digital photo recovery is definitely possible if the memory card is getting detected, and if it has not been physically damaged. Another common reason for photo loss which is restricted to Mac PCs is the accidental deletion of photos by selecting the Delete Original option that is provided in the iPhoto application in Mac computers.
