How to Run Windows on a Mac

Macs are wonderful machines, and Mac user never want to switch and new Mac converts often never want to go back either. A lot of programs however run only on Windows, including things like Internet software. Also, releases of new software that do run on Macs are often much later. These are just some of the reasons you might want to run Windows programs on a Mac.

Also, in terms of functionality, some things will just run far better on Windows.  Windows can be run by either duel booting or running Windows applications in a virtual machine on the Mac which does not require rebooting.  This lets you use the Mac for most things but also run Windows or native Windows applications in virtual machines on the Mac for maximum flexibility.

This can be especially important when moving to a Mac. You no doubt have plenty of Windows programs you use regularly for business and other purposes, such as business applications and games. Now some of these you may eventually replace with a Mac version, if available, but you will not need to be in any rush and will not lose any functionality due to changing platforms.

There is another advantage to virtual machines as well. Since Windows is a big target for hackers, they are often attacked. If your Windows app is attacked or somehow infected, it is only running in a virtual machine and the Mac operating system will not be affected. On a Windows only machine, you would have a big problem like a virus infestation.
